sometimes I take a day to just play sims or do something else. It’s a little break in between and then I’ll find a new book to read. My book hangovers thankfully do not last more than a day or two

I read the opposite so it won’t be a pale imitation

I try to read a different genre right after finishing. Usually if I give it a day I fall into a reading slump

I will read the first book in another series before the last book in the current series. Usually I try to find something similar to make it seem like stories from different lands in the same world.

I read something something light and cute, a stand alone if possible.

I finished The Cruel Prince a few days ago and since I’m not good at waiting (for the The Wicked King in this case), I started rereading Prince of Thorns (from the Broken Empire Trilogy) because Cardan reminded me of Jorg (who is the true cruel prince of the two). The two books are completely different in tone and Prince of Thorns is actually more like my taste, so now I don’t have a problem anymore ?

Ugh I’m still waiting for the cruel prince from the library. I’m next in the hold list.

I switch genres and try to find a stand-alone book. Depending on the series I was in , I will sometimes return to a book I’ve read before (a fun, easy read that I know I will happily immerse myself into).

My go to is the host. I lost track of how many times I’ve listened to it. But this last series hit me Hard lol
