Madison Woodard I’ve done that many times, re-read the same book because I couldn’t let it go, and it helps ☺️ that’s the magic of books, you don’t really have to let them go if you are not ready. With most things in life you don’t have that choice, with books you do.

@Isabel that’s very true I love that!

Take a day or two off and watch some Netflix or read an old favorite.

I totally feel you. Two weeks ago I read the entire Twilight series, but I’m not ready to be done with it yet so I’m listening to the Twilight audio book at night and reading other physical books during the day

Whitney Wheeler yes a very specific book and you want to read it again or inability to start a new book because you are stuck in the old book’s world.

Kayla

Nah. It’s when you finish a really good book and you have a hard time moving on to a new book and leaving the world you enjoyed so much. It’s all you think about and you almost feel physically Ill (like a hangover) trying to move on with your life.

reread a favorite or try listening to an audiobook or just have a break for a few days to get over a hangover ^^

@Heleen I will probably re-read the book I just read that I can’t get over.

ooh Idk if that’s a good idea, might worsen the hangover… ;s ^^ or maybe watch booktube and get some recs or tips from there ?? :p always helps me

1
MadisonQuestion author

@Heleen that IS true and it isn’t like I don’t have other books to read but it might get me over it.

I sometimes make like a tbr jar, just put all your tbr books on seperate pieces of paper, and pull one out without looking and that one you have to read, no excuses :p very satisfying when you finish it

@Heleen I still need some romance in the book though because that’s what the other one was but that is a good idea .

Step 1: Accept that it’s over.
Step 2: Clear your mind and try not to think about it.
Step 3: Lie awake in bed thinking about it. ?
