My community has two used book stores. Check around. Also, many people donate books to charity shops including Goodwill, which sell them at low cost. Also, my library has a special section where they sell books donated as well as extra copies of books.

Check your local library website for Friends of the Library book sales
Ours sell paperbacks for $1 , hardbacks for $2, cd’s DVD’s.
I’ve come home sometimes with a grocery bag stuffed with goodies and gotten change back from a $20 ❤️
