Pretty much all of Gillian Flynn’s are great psychological thrillers. Gone Girl might have been the most popular but my favorites are Sharp Objects and The Grownup

Phillip Margolin, Jack Heath, JD Barker, @JT are good. I’m reading Rag Doll by Daniel Cole now. So far it is good.

@Marc I cant remember the name of the book, but there is a prequel to this.

@Nancy “Red Dragon,” and it was the basis for the fine film “Manhunter” and even later on as “Red Dragon.”

I read Dark Tide by her and found the characters very artificial and the plot painfully weak, the author is said to have been a police intelligence analyst, well that is astounding.

They seem to me to be two contrasting genres. Horror is usually based on fantasy and psychological anything on reality. Of course, people can like both chalk and cheese.
