The audiobook is as fun as well!

0
Laura

@Marie, that’s what I was about to suggest!

Kristin

@Alex– are you reading Calypso now? I have the audio book and I’m about half way in. Not sure if I like it yet and I’m a huge Sedaris fan.

0
Alex

@Kristin to be honest, I found it to be his “darkest” maybe because of the topics he was touching on

0
Kristin

@Alex agreed. Which is maybe why I don’t like it as much?

0
Alex

@Kristin yeah not my favorite

Space Opera, by Catherynne M. Valente. Very much like Hitchhiker’s Guide only shorter. A fun read where Earth must enter an intergalactic contest similar to Eurovision to determine its survival.

1
Anuradha

Oooh! You are in for a treat! The book is ridiculously hilarious!

2
Tim

My sister in law suggested it because she had heard the same thing. Then the next month we are doing “Ready Player One” so we will have a couple good sci-fi reads back to back ?

1
Anuradha

@Tim oh Wow!! Ready Player One is on my immediate TBR!

1
Tim

Well if you end up reading it in August let me know! We can chat about it as we read.

Anuradha

Abdolutely! Reading has currently taken a slump due to lack of time. The first book I plan to pick up is Salem’s Lot.

1
Tim

Yes!!! I’m about to start Pet Semetary, I am just finishing my current book and that is next ?

1
Anuradha

Aha! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!

1
Tim

I’m reading John Dies at the End now and it’s very funny and a pretty easy read. However it’s pretty dirty so I’m sure it’s not for everyone.
