The collector’s editions of the first three illustrated Harry Potter books. The illustrations are amazing and the books themselves are beautifully bound.

My sister bought me a book for Christmas many years ago. I forget the title but the author as Sherry Reynolds. I went on to read all of her books and liked them very much. It was special because my sister isn’t a reader. She just heard about the book on NPR and thought I’d like it.

Every year my daughter goes through the end of year best book lists and chooses three or four that she thinks I’ll enjoy. Then she gives me a gift card for that amount, so I can order them on my Kindle. I don’t want to read paper books, I want them on my Kindle apps, but I love getting the gift!

When my lovely mum gave me my first Kindle 5 years ago, I’ve never looked back. I still love my physical books but you can’t beat an e-reader for late night reading.
