Thanks Katie Jenny and Eloise I have Goodreads but my problem is I have LOTS of books. I use the “to read” list to save titles of books I’m looking for but I want to catalogue all the books I actually own on my shelves to stop me accidentally buying them again. I haven’t read them all so can’t save them in “read”

there is a column for wanting to read on there too

@Ameira CLZ Books is amazing. You can scan your books to add them. You can sort them by so many different things including which book shelf you have them on. I would be lost without it. Easy to just search for a book when you are shopping and check if you already have it.

And you can also add more shelves

True. I have 2418 books in my GR “want to read” shelves. However, I managed to buy-again a few of them.?

I use Books by Sort It! Apps to catalogue the books I own. I talk about it a bit more in depth here: https://ericarobynreads.blogspot.com/2017/01/my-favorite-bookish-mobile-apps.html

LibraryThing. And with the app it is easy to just scan barcodes to enter your books.

Libib – just scan the ISBN code and it’s added to your library. It didn’t take me but several hours one day to catalog over 1,000 books. Now I have my list with me wherever I happen to be looking at books. ?
