I much prefer to have a ‘tree book’ in my hands but absolutely detest pretentiously thick books. For travelling, I take my iPad with the Kindle app. As I write this, I M in a hotel with my iPad.

I struggle with a heavy book.

I read books in any format, as long as they are well written.

I have an Eco reader which is not made anymore. The beauty of this is that I can put folders into folders into folders. Being a retired librarian I wanted to be able to organise books properly.
What is a tree book?

Use the kindle on the iPad most of the time or my actual kindle….I also have the kindle app on my phone for those occasions where I don’t have either of the others
But my not so secret guilty pleasure is a new hard back book.

I have had to adjust the font on some books Dawn. I am the other way I can’t use audible because of hearing impairment. Do you use audible?

0
Dawn

I do use audible when my vision is too bad to read at all but its not the same as actually reading. I just use a massive font ?

1
Sharon

Because of illness I find it difficult to read and hold an actual book now. And I can’t hold a book while lying down. I can hold my eco reader though without any problems.

Dawn

So glad they invented ebook readers! A life changer for me

Both, but I do prefer a paperback. I get a lot of books to review on my kindle and it is useful when I am in a lot of pain as it’s lighter to hold.

I use the Kindle app on my iPad – I really don’t have the space for any more tree books at the moment! Sadly, I have M E and have not been able to concentrate on reading for a while, so rely heavily on podcasts at the moment! #majorbummer

I’m sorry to hear that, have you tried audio books?

1
Lindy

A couple of times, but I have about 400 waiting on my Kindle app!!! I love true crime podcasts though – trouble is, I still keep finding “must download” books!

0
Angela

There are a lot of good TC podcasts, which are your favorites?

0
Lindy

Oh boy! Minds of Madness, True Crime Fan Club, Apex and Abyss, My Favorite Murder, True Crime Island, Already Gone, True Crime Sisters, True Crime Brewery, True Crime All The Time and TCATT Unsolved, Casefile, S’laughter, They Walk Among Us, In Sight, Killafornia Dreaming, Murder Under the Midnight Sun, Once Upon A Crime, True Crime Garage -and then some!!!

Since my late husband bought me my kindle shortly before he died, I haven’t bought a physical book….. hundreds of books at the click of the button! Suits me down to the ground although at first I didn’t want to lose the feeling of opening a page …… x

Kindle for holidays every time – everything else adds to the weight of your case. Bring back loads of paperbacks though as I can’t get them in Sicily where I live. All our holidays are in UK so I tour all the charity shops to find what I want.
