I’m a slightly pessimistic realist, meaning I look at all the outcomes but don’t typically get my hopes up about things.

I understand , so you are living between William James and Bergson .

I’m actually an optimist, but I read more dystopian because I want to be ready for the worst that can happen.

Cosmo-ontological optimism , Osho’s style ?

Truly a dystopian. I like to read dystopia, as it prepares for the future and some present events too.

I’m a very down to heart person in “real life” and a true rimantic and fantasy lover in my “book life”. ^^
So I’m a realist in real life and an optimist in my “book life”. ^^

Pessimism and optimism are both inseparable half’s. One can not exist without the other, Franky I think a good balance between the two make for realistic growth. The idea if not hoping like a pessimist, however not desparing either like a optimist would, makes for a honest and lousively indifferent human, however overcoming the need to escape oneself by resorting to ignore the truth. Just a thought.

Utopian. I hate dystopian with a passion. We live it, why in the world would we want to feed and inflate it by writing about it (fiction). Just my 2 cents.

Im pessimist. I’m positive but i like Dystopian more than Utopian. Reason ? Bcoz i feel dystopia gives a better idea of what our world is n what it will be. Utopia gives us fairytales to cheer about but sadly except for improvement in field of science, nothing else has turned out to be true.
Dystopia ?? From Censorship to dictatorship. From ugly wars to conspiracies. They show us the mirror.

Pick up any 70s, 80s, 90s dystopian book, read it n you’ll get what i wanna say.
