YES! Oh my gosh, I just started another incredible one. Check out this first paragraph: I have tried so hard to forget, but memory is a stubborn thing. Memories linger no matter what I do. They’re there all the time – and worse. Even my dreams aren’t safe. I have vicious nightmares, and they’re real – too real – and suddenly I’m back there. I can’t will them away, I can’t squeeze them away, and the more I try the more they burrow in my head. I want to cut open my skull and dig my fingers into my brain and just pull them out.
Yes I am. I am reading The Thirteenth Tale. Didn’t read much last night. Hoping I can read a lot today. Because I am watching my grandsons this weekend. And won’t have the opportunity to read it much.
I’m enjoying ‘The Keeper of Lost Things’, I like the different storylines & I’m enjoying ‘Trollhunters’ although I prefer the animated series that is based on the book (a lot of changes between the book & series)?
Well, just to let you all know, I am using my books under the legs of my chairs/sofas and lifting them about 2″ just in case I get water in my house from this coming storm. Hopefully this wouldn’t happen, but just in case:(
Right now I’m reading three books and I’m really enjoying all three of them 🙂 I’m reading Calamity by Brandon Sanderson (starting to like that author..), The Legend of Shikanoko by Lian Hearn and a german Book called “Die Wand” by Marlen Haushofer – it’s a little like Under the Dome – suddenly some kind of wall cuts her off from the world, so basically she is the only human left. Rather a journey of the mind how to be alone – I’m quite enjoying that one , too 🙂
Just started my new read ….. with much expectation …. a true doggy tale….. Finding Gobi…. with my TBR following book … that is me sorted for a while ….
Love Grave Peril by Jim Butcher, this book is all sorts of fun; will definitely read Grave Peril again in a few years. The Gunslinger is a not exactly flowing for me but I think that’s the style that Stephen was aiming for. And, I’m getting into the groove with Joe Hill’s The Fireman. So yeah, I am enjoying all of them 🙂
Struggling with Monica Ali Brick Lane, have been for a while. Also reading Richard Montanari The Doll Maker, it’s good but it’s not really my thing any more, on Kindle I’m reading Marian Keyes The Break but I read Kindle in bed at night and keep falling asleep. But right now I can’t wait to get home to read Lynda La Plante Good Friday which will have arrived today!
I’m always finished ‘Trollhunters’ & I’m conflicted, there are parts of the book that would work well in the animated series (although I have a feeling, one storyline from the book may appear in the next series of the animated series) & there’s parts from the animated series that would work well in the book ~ see? I’m very conflicted!☺️☺️
Oh wow. I just noticed that I have already read that one! I did not compare the authors name! Even though I have Horrorstör at home and loved that one, too. Thank you! O.o
I’m finally getting into ‘The Boy who drew monsters’, it had caught my interest but I didn’t know what to think of the wee boy, I now think if I knew that kid I would never babysit him or talk to him.?
Yes – reading the Silkworm by Robert Galbraith. I managed to read past part one of the BBC adaptation on Sunday – I just have to finish it before this Sunday coming!
Me again (sorry), I’m almost finished ‘The Boy who drew monsters’, I’m hopeful that the boy will move away with the monsters, I’m sure they will all be very happy together?
No..not the book’s fault, though. Still loopy from post-op and pain meds. Can’t concentrate.
