Nope, I know what I like and it’s how they feel when they read the book, that is how they write the reviews.
I tend to ignore negative reviews until I’ve finished the book because if I don’t, I find myself biased. I do like reading the positive reviews beforehand!
I had apprehensions about The Bone Witch because of the mixed reviews, but I loved it, one of my favorites from this year
American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I’ve heard it’s brilliant and I’ve heard it’s awful.

Mixed reviews don’t bother me. It’s when I read a book everyone else gushed all over and I hate it.
