I read that a couple of years ago right around Halloween! ☺️ I am about to start “The Broken Girls,” by Simone St. James.

Audiobook of the Blackwater saga. Old Southern gothic horror. The author (Malcolm McDowell, I think?) was one of Stephen King’s inspiration s back in the day.
The narrator is perfect.

The Handmaid’s Tale, which is spooky in it’s own right.

No, because to me it was quite spooky day before that when I heard that my mother was in crash in 12th day and broken her arm. Today I was reading Romanovs by Simon Sebag Montefiore. Plus when I visited in library there was one quite spooky man which follow me like everywhere and takes always the same book which I was read and put the back in shelfs. It wasn’t quite normal visit in library, I must say. ?

It’s SO good. I’ve and watched so much true crime stuff that I’m mostly immune to scares, but this book has me sincerely creeped out. Good stuff.

I have that on my TBR shelf. I am trying to hold out until October with that one. I’m not sure whether I will be successful or not….

My students’ papers… Grammar is tortured, ideas are ill-treated and the hand-writings are an eye sore…
