Loved it; one of the most powerful books I’ve read in the past 5 years. You’ll either feel the same way I do or you won’t appreciate it. It is a long book, full of brutal emotions, lots of internal monologue and reflection and it’s a triumph in my humble opinion.
It’s still sitting on my book shelf, unfinished. Couldn’t get into it. It was a read from one of the book clubs I was in, no one from the group liked it. If I’m not mistaken only 2 or 3 of the 10 or so ppl even finished it. ??

I liked it. It’s long and slow in places but overall a good read.

It’s a fantastic story. At times the author gets a little too wordy and at the end I skimmed a bit.
Didn;t like it-Hoped he would get away from the drugs.
God I hated this book…. Unfortunately my book club choice so I had to read every long winded, overly wordy, druggie boring page!

I found the first part really slow going but by the end of it I actually enjoyed it.
