Yes. They are amazing but it starts super slow. It picks up once the girl is introduced.
Also…. some of the stuff at the beginning you could totally skim and get the idea.

I read one and that is enough for me. Too dark to continue. Saw both the US and foreign films.

I have just finished the first one on holiday! Can’t wait to get back and read second one (stupidly didn’t bring kindle!) – agree there were quite a lot of characters at first but the lady in the shop said to focus too much on trying to remember all the names !

Loved them but no good if you’re tired as really need to concentrate as the story lines are quite complex (well I thought so ?)

The best advice I got was keep reading until you meet the girl with the dragon tattoo, it will start to make more sense then. I loved the books.

It is pretty dark and I was a bit down after reading trilogy, but nevertheless it is absolutely fabulous. Well written, absorbing and thought provoking. I loved it.

Some parts of the book were very upsetting for me, so I’d have to have a break but it is really good! I breezed through 2nd, yet to pick up 3rd but is on my shelf.

When you finish, look for a book called The Girl Who Remembered Snow. It was written before Larsson wrote his books. The books, all of his books, are slippery because you really don’t know how these mysteries are going to turn out.
