I just got it from my library Tuesday and an loving it. I had no idea it was going to be a movie, let alone that the movie comes out at the end of this month. It was highly recommended to me by more than one person.
My husband read it (and he’s not even a reader) and he loooooooved it. So I told him I’d read it next. I hear great things about it but my TBR list is so massive it takes me ages to get to my books at times without a push 😛
I listened to the audio book. The choice of Wil Wheaton as narrator was brilliant. I didn’t love it but it was enjoyable, and more so because of his narration. Not sure if I want to see the movie.
Funny you ask. I did read it last year. I remember enjoying it tremendously as I read it. I liked it a lot. And then promptly forgot about it. Completely forgot what it was about until the movie trailer came out,
Not yet. I have it on hold at the library… my digital version came in yesterday, or so I thought… turns out i accidentally put a hold on the Catalan version of it!! Lol. I think this is another one I’ll just have to buy once I get through all my other TBR books!
Before reading it i thougjt it was a ya novel about gamers and would not be something i wanted to read. I really liked it and was pleasantly surprised.
Wasn’t the best book I’ve read but I enjoyed the 80s references! Sometimes it was too much maybe…. You could just tell this book was meant to be a movie. Good book! Made me jam to my 80s tunes.
Yes…I had to return the audio to the library before I finished it…so I bought the print book to finish it. I rarely buy books except as gifts to others.
Loved it. Can’t wait to see the movie.

Listened to it. It was good. Not as fantastic for me as some gamers but it kept me interested.
I’m not a gamer so when I heard one of the podcasts I listen to recommend it I was skeptical
Loved it, the movie is only 2 hours I can’t see how they can pare it down enough. Read the book.

Loved it. Was hooked at a footnote mentioning Depeche Mode and Heathers.
My 13 year old son and I both read it and loved it! We can’t wait to go see the movie.

I read the book and the audio book (Narrated by Wil Wheaton) both are excellent.
I really enjoyed it, I’m a child of the 60’s and loved all the 80’s references.
My 13-year-old son read and loved it… he did not care for the sequel.
Oh yeah. I can’t express how much I loved it. Great for people who grew up in the 80s. Can’t wait to see the movie.
I just finished it for an irl book club, and I enjoyed it. In my opinion, it’s definitely YA, but great.
