I thought it was good overall, but the ending was a bit of a cop-out. I would’ve preferred that she was actually ill and they learned how to do life together despite her illness.

I loved the whole book but the ending could’ve been better.I didn’t like how Madeline left her mother alone & the whole situation unsettled.

That’s one of my thoughts. Like nothing with her mom was figured out. It was sad.

I felt like it was too predicting, and tbh a little bit weird? (the part with her mother), I personally would like it better if she had at least some kind of illness ?

I felt like the book was a bit overhyped. Like the writing isn’t the most amazing (not that it’s bad). But the book still made a impact on my. (I just think the mom is a psycho just as Hannah Baker, haha)

I loved it. I watched the movie first, and I didn’t see it coming at all (I’m an idiot). It’s one of my go-to movies now.

So I can watch the movie and read the book later? Won’t change the plot or ending?

@Laron I think it’s one of those books where I’m glad I watched the movie first. The book was well written but there was something missing. The movie was really well made.

@Author ah I see! Thanks. I’ve been meaning to give the movie a try but there’s been so much mixed reactions … But I’ll watch it ?

The book’s good though I got bored a bit reading it because I watched the movie first. The movie is almost like the book, just a little changes.

I was not a fan of the ending. My teacher brain could not move past the child abuse aspect of it.

I read it in one sitting. I found it pretty good but predictable as well.

The ending was not what I expected at all . The rest of the book I found very cliche that the end caught me off guard !!

I didn’t care for it after everything that hsppened. I loved the romance and it felt very believable, but the plot twist ruined the whole thing for me.
