He rights about kids in war camps during war. Weather its jews, Japanese, korean, Vietnamese, German. My daughter had him on her Christmas list. She has read a couple of his books from her school library. He can be found in the ya section as well as the children’s section at b&n. I don’t know much on him. Was wondering how appropriate he is for a 12 year old. I don’t want to censor her reading at the same time I don’t feel comfortable with her reading anything in the lines of You. ( it’s a daddy thing and she is my baby)
Have a hard time with my baby girl growing up. She is getting makeup from friends and don’t get me started on what I say is toooo low cut shirts. Or her shoe fetish- high heel boots. Now she wants to read grown up books grrr
Oh @Karl you’re in for a world of hurt! She’s going to break your heart. I swear my dad cried when I started my period. Funniest/saddest thing. Then he taught me how to put on a pad ????
My dad liked being involved with the girls things like buying me bras because he missed a lot in my younger years but he would get so emo about it. A grown ass tatted bald man with tears in his eyes at Victoria sercets is life! ?
I have read Refugee and thought it was really good. It was on our Mock Newbery list last year. My 5th graders read it and even though it is a heavy subject, they liked it as well. I have not read any of his other books.
I’ve not heard of him. What kind of author is he?

@Beth what attracted me to my boyfriend was he wears his pants where there suppose to be ?? not at his ankles. I hate that so much!
Saggy pants make them look like they dropped a load.
Wife already went thru the girly bathroom stuff with the daughter
