The Tethered Mage series focuses on female friendship. There is a romance storyline, but it’s not even secondary… maybe quaternary?

Read THE BLACK WITCH CHRONICLES by Laurie Forest

The author took REAL WORLD problems and incorporated them into a fantasy realm!
Racism! Sexism! Homophobia! Sex slavery! Judging people based on stereotypes! All problems that most of the world has become so blind to!

In the book these problems are brought forth to the main character and INSTEAD of brushing these problems off like MOST PEOPLE DO! She fights it to make a better and safer world for all!!

This world not only incorporates real world problems into it but also has the classic characteristics of a YA book. This world has Dragons, FAE, Elemental Magic, Wands, Wolf-shifters, Demons, Dragon-shifters, Wyvern-shifters & everything in between!!

On good reads this book has a low rating because one or two people said the book was “racist” and people who hadn’t even read the damn book jumped on the bandwagon and called it “racist” too. It’s not racist. It shows racist views yes, but it shows how that view is based on ignorance! Read it for yourselves please and don’t agree with a side when you haven’t looked deep into the information LIKE THE BOOK SAYS!! Read THE BLACK WITCH CHRONICLES!!!

World of Linaria series! Epic fantasy with dragons, airships, and sky pirates. Great cast of characters including shape-shifters. Romance free
