A lot of the books within kindle unlimited at 1-3 bucks to buy so depending on how many you read a month depends on the value. I think at the moment you can try is for a reduced price if you have prime. I know I just got a year for about $80 with discount. I read about 10 novels a month with it so it is worth it for me
I use it a lot. Have found old favorites (particularly Gwen Bristow and Georgette Heyer) and new favorites (Heather Burch & Diane Moody), and have read tons of other books (including the Hunger Games trilogy) by many different authors that I’ve truly enjoyed.

Do you have access to the books, you get, after the membership is over?
No you basically get to loan up to ten books at a time. You return to get new ones. Once membership is over you don’t get access
