Read it years ago. It is a seriously moving book. They made it into a movie as well and it wasn’t half bad. I can’t remember if it was a life time movie, or an actual film, but I remember that it made me want to read the book. I am glad it did because I loved the book!

Actual movie with Cameron Diaz but they changed the ending so much that even Jodi picoult herself wasn’t happy!

Kris

@Rachel didn’t know that. It was a long time ago. I just remember liking the movie and wanting to read the book because of it. I also remember it was a really good book 🙂 Thanks for mentioning the ending, so I wasn’t giving misinformation!

I saw the movie first and enjoyed it. But when I read the book the ending was so much more in keeping with the book. Felt the movie was a very Hollywood ending.

One of my favorites! BUT DON’T WATCH THE MOVIE. They butchered it. I met her once and she herself hated it. The book is fantastic though. ❤️

I am the most unpopular one here. I hate her writing. It makes me want to stick forks in my eyes. My mom has sent me 8 of her books, and tells me to try them. I haven’t liked one. ??‍♀️

No your not I enjoyed that one but non of her others I have one in my pile to read as she did impress me in person but 12 months later it’s still on my pile unopened

Kit

No you’re not. I have read some of hers. Very predictable and light reading. But not as much “fork in the eyes” for me as Nicholas Sparks ?

I’ve read all her books except The Pact. My favourite is Nineteen Minutes because as usual Jodie Piccoilt goes beyond the surface headlines. Also the one about the Amish baby is brilliant. Enjoy!!

Yes …. I cried. Loved it so much better than the movie. They changed the important bits in the movie and spoiled it.
