I think this series and especially this storyline is so unbelievable

Lesley

Not at all like in Sam Ryan’s day 🙂

Over the top don’t you think?

2
Amanda

I watch it – but find it very irritating. Some of the science is unbelievable and the forensic staff just wouldn’t get involved all the stuff (chasing criminals, visiting victims etc.) that this lot do.

This is exactly what I have been complaining about. Doesn’t happen in books I read and authors thoroughly research these things.

1
Amanda

I have to confess it annoys me when someone refers to CSIs in british-set books – I’m sure they’re SOCOs here. (but I guess I’m just being picky!)

2
Lesley

It is becoming much more frequently used in the UK. You’ll see CSI roles advertised. I found that when researching and updating knowledge.

Shirley

Yes..but don’t understand why or how they are so involved in the police investigations!

I agree . They are pathologists!

Is she now dead ?

SusanQuestion author

Is it Nikki or is it her friend?

0
Sylvia

Oh I thought it was too blonde for her friend but hope it was lol

1
SusanQuestion author

@Sylvia you might be right!

1
Laus

It was Nicki on the slab at the end but hoping it’s a nightmare/dream scene.

1
Sylvia

Cheers Laura , I thought it was .

1
Bill

It’s getting very preachy/screechy, moving away from crimesolving and into issues.

I just can’t believe that they don’t do research…. surely people in their positions wouldn’t be as involved as they are in the programme….. they think they are detectives!
Also the acting of the detectives is very bad…. I still watch though.

I watch too but it is now disappointing and unbelievable

1
Rebecca

My thoughts exactly. I’ve been a fan since the Sam Ryan days….but now it’s far less enjoyable/believable than the older series are.

Absolutely love it. Wish Richard Lintern had a bigger role in the series and it wasn’t just Nicki.

0
Hel

Ahh yes..that what scared me too. Think tonight’s gonna be interesting going on the trailer..

1
SusanQuestion author

@Hel Not really believable though?

0
Hel

Oh god no, not remotely and think was better a few years back but still enjoy it.

2
Lesley

Did you see the trailer at end of last night’s?

1
Mel

@Hel yep, maybe they slowed her heart rate down to get her out of the country. We’ll see tonight. X

1
Hel

That we shall.

1
Emmett

Final episode but there will be another season (21)

1

Absolute twaddle these days! I tried dipping into it a few months ago but stopped at the point where a pathologist was giving mouth to mouth. Hasn’t she seen the Vinny Jones advert?? 😉

It’s AWFUL, especially if you’ve worked on both sides of the investigatory divide.

Gave up this season. I think we watched it because we thought each other was enjoying it – compared notes and ditched it!

1

I love Silent Witness. I know it’s far fetched, and they wouldn’t get involved in the police side of things as much. But, I can’t help it, I still enjoy it!

Endeavour is great.

1
Hel

Endeavour is awesome, always hard pressed to know which I enjoy more. Endeavour, Morse or Lewis

1
Anita

@Hel I like Endeavour best! The research that must go into it… the costumes and sets… it’s great

2
Hel

Love them all, always thought Lewis my fav previously but do lean more to Endeavour for similar reasons. I do however also love Inspector George Gently.

3
Suzanne

Love Endeavor the new series takes forever to get to Australia though. Love Lewis as well.

0
Jorja

Sounds like Endeavour is a yes. Thanks!

Started watching the last in the series – got half way through the first part and when one of the team jumped in, once again, inappropriately. I’d had enough and deleted it. I will, however miss singing along to the theme tune! ♫ “Testator silens….” ♫
