I used to be more obsessed with the entire Shadowhunters world, not so much anymore. They still have a special place in my heart though, and I’m excited to read what she’s coming out with next still

I just don’t get the hype. Sorry but I think she recycles some of her plot lines. I’m kinda tired of the shadow hunter world. Give me something new.

Yeah – her agent, lol. I queried a YA fantasy novel to the guy and he sent back a super sweet pass that he wasn’t taking on any more YA because repping CC monopolized his mind – then he went on to gush about her for a full paragraph.
I’ve been chuckling about it for days now.

As an author yes but as a person – i am not so sure…specially since I’ve heard some rumours saying that her original work was actually a modified form of or stolen from another ff….

*cough* It was. There’s also documented evidence of her bullying a fan and guilt tripping fans into buying her a laptop

Currently reading my first book by her “City of Bones” and can’t find enough time to read it. She’s so similar to another one of my favorite authors and I love it! I can’t wait to read more by her!

Not really. I like world she created but it takes way too long to get good imo. I like action and drama packed books. The first three took me over a month to read for each book. I can usually finish one in three days or less depending on how much time I have

I just can’t get into her books. I don’t find her writing or characters gripping or exciting. I am considering giving them another try, just to see if I can enjoy them now, but haven’t committed to the idea.

Maybe try reading the infernal devices first it’s the fandoms most loved series

@Ebonie I have read it. I didn’t understand the hype. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for those kinds of books when I read them. Sooner or later I will give them a second chance. Probably later, there are too many new series to get lost in right now.

What’s stopping you?! I read her books as a teenager in HS and I loved her characters so much, I still read her newer novels as an adult lol I love how she creates the worlds and combines the old and new characters together.

My daughter owns them all and she was my personal library 😉 She has everything (just about) she gave me the first book City of Bones and she also gave me Shadow and Bone and I read both books but opted to read the Grisha trilogy since it was shorter to read through and I was hooked. I wanted to keep going after I read City of Bones but she moved 9 hours away and sadly I never got a chance to get to the other books but we talked tonight and I asked her to bring me the first 2 books (I am going to reread City of Bones) I am excited to jump into this series. I have heard so much about them. She is coming back in August and I will trade out for the next 3 books so I will get to this series by the end of this month 😀

Susan

By shorter I meant 3 books as opposed to the many books written by CC. She also introduced me to SJM and I fell in love with her books right away. I know I will love CC books just as much since my daughter loves them and we have similar tastes.
