True blood is how i came to find out about the books.someone gave me season four on dvd and i was in love
I actually found the show better lol and I rarely say that
They are so different that i thoroughly enjoyed them both. I still do, loll. We have the entire box set of True Blood and I have the majority of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. The few I don’t own are checked out from the library regularly!
I personally didn’t care for the one book I read, but I believe I’m in the minority. 🙂

Never read them. My friends did and they totally loved it. I did watch the tv series it was based on without knowing it was based off the book and it was pretty good. But got tired of watching it after awhile.

Re-watching the series now.I have read one of the book so far. They are both good in my eyes.
I liked them until about book 4 or 5 then they got incredibly stupid and I hated them. They went downhill from there, the last one the only thing I can recall is it’s a whole book about her baking a casserole lol

The books are really good. You just have to remember that the show was very loosely based on the books and departed fully about season 5.
