SO MAD. I read a book last year or the year before that I had been eagerly awaiting an ARC of and omg it was SO GOOD until the ending when it sucked horrifically and now I am afraid to read anything else by the author even though her writing is fairly good just because the ending ruined the book THAT MUCH.
I think I am the only person that hates the end of the fault in our stars. I read it long time ago I am still mad. I said I would not read anymore of his stuff a but I broke down today and got one
Was absolutely destroyed by one. It was a definite 10* read, all the way to the last chapter which was devastating as instead of ending (and no not a sequel or series) just left you with an unanswered question. I don’t mind a cliff hanger on a series, but for a debut book that just leaves me hanging…well, I will never read this author again.
many times but I got most upset with one suspense book in which murderer was not caught since it suppose to be caught in next book until that book I never saw such a book. I mean I read entire murder mystery but killer was not written and I never found next book
Oh my yes. It was the last time i actually threw a book away. It was that bad. No resolution no character development. And worse it was a larger book. I was so friggin angry
What constitutes a bad ending for you? I didn’t find the ending to ‘The Mockingjay’ particularly satisfying. When the author rushes to finish the book and doesn’t give enough attention to wrapping up the storyline.
I find that the final books of a series tend to feel rushed most of the time. It’s not something I’m fond of but I’ve learned to live with because I love reading series.
Yes!

Oh I am so mad. I was like oh this is so good, and then boom it ended so poorly I’m so mad
Yes. lol.
Me 2
Bad endings ruin the whole thing. I can’t forgive rushed or illogical endings. Or no real resolution at all! Ugh it’s the worst
Yes!! I even threw it across the floor when I was finished lol.
That’s how I feel about now. I wanna throw my kindle!
Very!! It like even got to the point where I just threw my book lol but yes
That’s how I am feeling about now. I wanna throw my kindle

Hated the ending of the last book in the Divergent Series. Can’t believe I struggled through 3 books just to get to a crap ending?
That’s what my sister said.
I cannot agree more
ALL. THE. TIME.
Yes!
Yeah, generally if I’m dealing with this shity book… It jumps out of my hands and flies across the room and hits the wall.
Lmao! Mine would have if it wasn’t on a expensive ass kindle lol
By accident, of course.
Sitting here remembering the awesome endings of my favorite books that actually just keep going on in my imagination. 🙂
YES. Ruins everything that came before it.
I get pissed off when a book ends. Period. ?
No ?.. I tell myself that the author wants to say something by finishing the book like this .. ? .. and there’s a hidden message ?
Yes… Esp. My Sweet Audrina by V.C. Andrews, ending was rubbish!
O really it’s on my list I may not read it anytime soon now
It just got kind of unrealistic near the end but that is my own opinion don’t let it stop you!
That’s when I rewrite my own ending. Lol
Yes. Especially when i read non-fiction ??? normally means trouble ahead lol
Yup, the same with movies….everyone’s leaving the cinema and I’m still sitting there with my mouth open.
Yes!
Yes! Worse, since I read mostly mysteries, when the ending just fades off, no resolution. Bang – book hits wall.
Exactly!
Yep I have actually been known to shout at the book and get in a huff.
Yes?
I felt that way about Belle Canto. Absolutely hated the ending.
Totally
NO I eat myself to death thoughj
Yes, I feel cheated.
Yes! Especially when the beginning and middle parts were really good.
Yep
Yes hate it. A total let down
Yes
Yes! I also get pissed when the first book is good, so you buy the rest of the series, just to find they suck.
Yessssss!

I get so angry! If I want to be upset, I read the news!
Yep.
It depends on the genre.
Yes , I’ve thrown books across the room because of this
Yes. Will never read was a book by that author again
Yes, definitely.
Yes, same with tv series!
Yes especially when it just fades away.
Don’t get mad, just get even. Write your own ending to it and send it to the author . . . with a picture of yourself sticking your tongue out 😉
Oh my yes. It was the last time i actually threw a book away. It was that bad. No resolution no character development. And worse it was a larger book. I was so friggin angry
Super pissed off.

Completely agree about Mockingjay! Katniss SLEPT or was in a coma through her trial and wakes up to learn the outcome? How lazy is that???
At least it didn’t ruin the entire series for me, as sometimes happens.
Yes
yes
Yes
What if the book suddenly ended shitty in the middle of the book, with 100 blank pages at the end? Then it would be even more unexpected.
Unbelievably
yes or end abruptly, like wtf just happened?!?!
Yes
Yep
It’s especially annoying if it is the last of a series.
yes
