I’m the exact same. Refused to watch the movies, how was Tom Cruise cast?? He is the exact opposite of the character description. I have no interest in watching him ruin my books for me!
I don’t think Crazy Shane is right either lol … Tom Cruise is wrong just wrong on all levels in all films !! @Dawn I think it was because his production company got the movie option ???
He is a much better match in height and “bad-a$$ quotient, (but should be older and still about 4 inches taller.) But I agree – he needs to stay in Supernatural! (I love him as Dean!)?
He will always and forever be Dean to me!? Also, Reacher has said he’s not very handsome (and Jensen Ackles could NEVER, under ANY circumstances not be considered extremely handsome!) and he’s taller (than Tom Criuse for sure!?)

On “Supernatural,” I see Dean’s attitude covering up an inferiority complex. HE doesn’t think he is as….smart, or as handsome, or as WORTHY, regardless of the “reality.”
I like the books … Although I’ve had to lay off as they were getting a bit predictable, will go back to then once I’ve finished my colossal piles for this year lol

YES! In the books, Jack Reacher is intimidating just by walking into a room. He ⬆ certainly “fits the bill!” (With that physique and glare!) (yummmm!??)

Whaaaat?! But the books have absolutely nothing to do with Tom Cruise! The character even looks pretty much the opposite of him—huge and blond! Give one a try at least before you give up on them because of some dumb casting decision.
I love the books, but sadly, Tom Cruise is not Jack Reacher. Spoils the films a wee bit for me. Wish they had cast Jon Bernthal in the role.

Never read the books or saw the movie but I <3 Jon Bernthal and if they'd cast him I bet I'd have watched it a dozen times by now.
