Yes, I have moved around a lot over the years, and books that were just okay I ended up giving to charities. So if a book stays with me for that long period of time it is definitely a good book.
I thought it was terrible! Normally, I’m fascinated by religion and dystopian sci-fi/fantasy… but I just could NOT get interested in this book. It’s one of only two books I couldn’t bear to finish (the other being Planet of the Apes).
It’s difficult to find as it was published in 1959. Post apocalyptic sci-fi set in a catholic monastery. I enjoyed it and tried to find a copy of the sequel without success. It won the Hugo award and is a bit dated, which turns some folks off.
Wow now there is one I didn’t expect someone to ask about. I bought a used copy probably 20 years ago, read it and still have it on my shelves.
@Scott Was it good, though?
Great read…on of the seminal works of science fiction/fantasy
It’s in my TBR pile.
Mine too.

I’m reading it right now. I had to find a used copy on eBay, as it wasn’t available for Kindle.

I found a copy at my local library. They have a lot of classic sci-fi/fantasy novels!
