I’ve read the first three. They r good. After the first book they r a lot different from the tv show
I love them.
Have read the first one. Just couldn’t keep up with the story tho so stopped it. Watch the HBO series, it’s as detailed as the book.
Not quite as detailed! A good series, but it barely scratches the surface of what’s in the books.
They’re good….but be prepared to accept that you may never get an ending to the millions of threads that the show never even touches.
I know!!! Lady Stoneheart would have been so good for the show too and now we’ll never know.

I’ve read them all but I had some real difficulty getting through the first one since I had never read that genre before (my husband really really wanted me to try) I was just having some trouble wrapping my head around it, but I stuck with it, fell in love (or hate) with every character and enjoyed the whole series (which technically isn’t even finished yet ?)
I adore the books but they are extremely “heavy”, i.e. violence, gore, abuse and rape. I got through the first 3 and had to take a break.

I loved them so much! Could not put them down. It’s just extremely frustrating that it appears we will never get another one.
Yep. I read them back to back in 2015 I think it was. Took me 12wks (was working at the time too).
Yes but the first book had me confused for awhile. Make sure you read in the back part of the book first where it introduces the characters and which house they belong to. It’ll help make more sense. I didn’t realize it was back there until I was a third of the way through it.

I just finished the first book! And taking a break now.. it’s too much to process in one go!
Still waiting for book 6 which the writer might not even publish. Been waiting for years. I did not continue to watch the HBO series, they deviated too far from the books.
