I always have my next one lined up. But if I’m reading something intense I’ll choose an easier read for the next one. Like a palate cleanser. Lol!

Actually I usually have to take a day to recover before can focus on the next . The story of the last book lives in my head for a while .

Unless it’s part of a series then finish one straight onto the next lol

I have to read a couple books in between each book in a series. I don’t like to jump from one in a series right into the next in the series

Nina

If its a series i go straight in but if its a stand alone book i take a few days off, do my washing, have a tidy up, see whats going on in the world then start a new one.

Same. I rarely take a break with series. Stand alones I often do because I need to push those characters to the back of my mind so I’m not confusing them with the new ones hahaha

@May feversong (Karen Marie Moning Fever series)

Jessi Walker I just googled goodreads on it, it does sound intense! :))

JessiQuestion author

@May it’s really good. I highly recommend the series. I devoured them all but this one just got me right in the heart. Apparently I only needed 12 hrs to get over it, I just opened high voltage.

I am reading about 3 different series. Probably getting ready to start a 4th. I tend to leap from one series to another. Ill read a book in one series and when I’m done I’ll move to another book in another series until I get through all the books.

If the intensity of a book is strong enough, I will put the next book aside for a few days. But usually, my curiosity gets the better of me and I go right to the next book in the series.

If I read a series or something by the same author I have read one in between. Unless of course it’s the Cavendon series by Barbara Taylor Bradford
