I am wrapping up a Tortall marathon. Both the Alanna the Lioness and Wild Magic quartets hold up superbly after 15+ years as favorites. Enjoyed Protector of the Small and Beka Cooper, not sold on Trickster’s duo though ?

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, If I Stay by by Gayle Forman(I haven’t read the next book yet so can’t say on that one, but liked the first), Sunshine by Robin McKinley(this might be new adult, not young adult? but not positive, I’ve seen it on lists for YA so IDK), Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. . . these are just ones that immediately come to mind, but sure there are others. Don’t be discouraged from a book just cause it’s YA. Honestly, there’s no shame in reading it even if you’re an adult.

I taught middle school so the list would be too long, but the ones that popped in my head were The Book Thief, Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen, Hunger Games, Redwall by Brian Jacques (first in a series), the Stravaganza books by Mary Hoffman (there are six of them), and any of Shel Silverstein’s poetry books. Also, When We Were Very Young by A.A. Milne (another poetry book).

I love ACOTAR series (book 2 being my favorite of all time) The Grisha trilogy, just read The Female of the Species and it was so good and made me so emotional at the end. Undead Girl Gang was one I thought I would like but not give much thought about once it was read but HOLY COW this book was funny, and sad, it had a mystery element to it and I am still thinking about this book it was that good. One last one that I almost forgot about and it might be my favorite of all time The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Ried
