Black dagger brotherhood is my absolute fav!
U must read the black dagger brotherhood. Those books are to die for.
Also the Dark series. Those carpasians are interesting.
I never found Vampire Academy cheesy.

Night Huntress series was good.
Children of the Night
House of Night Series!!! I highly recommend this, its one of my favorites.
Anything by Anne Rice…..she’s never ever cheesy!
The Beautiful Creatures series is definitely not cheesy.
That’s not vampires though. That’s Casters.
The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness is by far the best vampire series that I have read so far

The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, Lynsay Sands Vampire series (don’t remember the name, all titles are different), Linda Leal Miller’s Vampire “series” starts with Forever in the Night (oldies, but some of my favorites).
And the new Havenwood Falls series by Kristie Cook and various other authors is a compilation of books that is just starting out. So far there are 3 novels, the first is Vampires and 2nd and 3rd were’s, but there are more Vamps in the works and others, such as Fae and Angels.
Is that even a thing? ?
I really liked the vampire kisses series.

Discovery of Witches is about a witch/vampire forbidden romance. It’s smart and lots of fun.
