I love True Crime tv shows and documentaries but have only read a few books. I have a stock pile of them on my TBR and I’ve read through the intro I’ll be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara.
I used to spend a lot of time listening to true crime podcasts – I got hooked on Serial and then I just kept looking for similar things to listen to. True crime books don’t interest me anywhere near as much for some reason.
I used to listen to TC podcast. Was hooked from Up and Vanished and Serial. But I can’t find one that keeps my interest like books. So now I listen and read TC. 2 different books at the same time. I have a 45 minute drive to work and home.
I occasionally indulge in serial killer biographies. Unfortunately, most people can’t hang in the same killer circles in which I indulge- see Ed Gein, Gary Ridgeway, Jeffrey Dahmer and Leonard Ng as examples

I try. I have read Helter Skelter and In Cold Blood, but if it’s really intense, I can’t do it; like The Girl Scout Murders…no way!
