Also I think it gives good insight to what it’s like to be a daughter of Mexican immigrants.

The Hate U Give – if you haven’t read this one just do it. It’s so good and so important

Chaotic Good is a bit romancy but the main character has so much more going on in her life it does seem more just a part of her life rather than her entire focus

I recently finished Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand and enjoyed it. There is a bit of romance but its not the main story at all.

Tamora Pierce’s Tortall series of book. Fantasty series, most of the books are organized in quartets following a different character. Each of them have some sort of romantic storyline, but they’re never the main point of the story. Much more on action, adventure and defining yourself. They’re a lot of fun. The series starts with the Alanna quartet, Alanna the First Adventure and her becoming a knight.

The Book Thief. It’s beautifully written but very sad.

Partials by Dan Wells! Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with partials–engineered organic beings identical to humans–has decimated the world’s population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island.

Depends if you like Fantasy/Vampire stuff? The Vampire Academy series followed by The Bloodlines series, both by Richelle Mead, are really really awesome <3<3
