Books, art, fashion, history, science, engineering, comedy, politics and economics. But I’m open to new and Interesting topics ?

Dan Carlin has a couple that are great history wise, also history on fire by danieli boleli (I’m sure I spelled that name wrong) is great and Mike Duncan has good history pod casts. There is one called “launch” in which an author brings you through the process of writing then publishing a book, that one is great. My favorite murder is a true crime one, but it’s also very funny. The two ladies that host have great personalities. Those are some of my favs.

1
PC

I love Dan Carlin, but it can be very heavy.

2
Tim

Oh for sure, but he is so good at it, I love his pod casts.

short cuts by Josie Long. A different theme in each episode, the snippets (some longer than others) are from all over the world and some make you laugh, some make you cry and some are just utterly fascinating! I highly recommend. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mk3f8/episodes/guide

You have to listen to the Moth!!!!
It’s about bringing back the art of story telling to everyday people. So they teach/help real people from all walks of life tell a true story about themselves. Supper interesting, the stories are between 5 and 15 min and cover every topic imaginable, some are hilarious some are heartbreaking.
Also they hold story telling events all over the country, I’ve been to a few and it’s so fun.

Ah, this podcast has over 70 episodes. It isn’t a book, but I’m glad to know there’s a book with the same name! 🙂

If you like history of English, check out the book The Lexicographer’s Dilemma. It’s a super interesting book on how English has evolved.

I just finished 14 episodes, seven hours of the ‘Seeing White’ podcast. It was excellent. An in-depth look at American white people. It featured two of my favorite public intellectuals: Dr. Kendi, National Book Award winner, and Dr. Painter of Princeton. Huge recommend, especially for American white people.
