I think my roommate reads Kim Harrison often and she really likes her, I’m looking into reading her books and I haven’t heard of the other.

I started Dead Witch Waking, but gave up on it. I read some reviews on the series and it seems like they begin to get interesting at the third book. I was looking for something like the early books in the Sookie Stackhouse and Anita Blake series.

I like early sookie stackhouse but the later books are wacky and I’ve been wanting to read the anita blake but the reviews are everywhere so I don’t know if I want to invest the time.

Anita Blake is good until about Obsidian Butterfly, after that I pretty much gave up. It devolved into porn with no plot. The early books were written quite a while ago so there is a noticeable lack of technology that you have to account for. I’ve been wanting to do the early ones over again. IMO, they are worth the time.

I don’t know if you’re read black dagger brotherhood by Jr Ward but they started out good but the just started getting redundant pretty much same storyline each one (Each book is based on someone else)

Lol! I know, I’m an absolute sucker for a series. Seems like everything I listen to is a series!

Yes, I actually read most of the BDB books because the narrator on the audiobooks sounded like someone’s grandfather. You can imagine how disturbing that is considering the content, lol! I think I’m a few books behind the most current one. I have liked the authors page on Facebook.
