I did. I read a lot of WWII fiction and non fiction, but would not recommend this one. It being somewhere between fiction and nonfiction was very frustrating. The characters were not well developed and the story of the tattooist was difficult to mesh with other accounts I’ve read.

Do you have any books you recommend, I like reading about WWII

Amie Jane Frost Night by Elie Wiesel (non fiction). As for fiction: The Nightengale, The Orphan’s Tale, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Book Thief. Stay away from The Boy in the Striped Pajamas as it was awful. If you like SciFi type books theres Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut (but I know hes not for everyone.)
