What does that mean? 🙂

For me, it means to have just the books I’m reading. I’m quite new to “simple living”, but I’m trying! ☺

Amy Constable-Hammons I admire you for that. I try to buy only what I know I will use now. I’m not into buying used but I know I should. I recycle, donate, reuse everything possible. I live with much less than I did and I LOVE it too.

I find that Overdrive helps me with that, a lot.

Are you referring to minimalist style writing e.g. Palahniuk and Bret Easton Ellis?

I guess if we don’t know what that is, we aren’t.

Hmm I’m also living a intentional more minimal lifestyle but I love books. Now instead of keeping them I donate right away so I only have unread books at home x

I sold, donated, or gave away over 2000 books. I now have only my poetry, research books, professional books for work, my favorite authors (mostly in hardcover) and my TBR books (physical). I realized that I’d never reread most books, I’ve kept records of what I’ve read, and I could ensure others could enjoy my books.

I read mostly ebooks and keep very few books, Just some darlings I can’t part with. If I lose interest in a hobby I pass it on. I take bags of stuff to goodwill and try not to buy stuff I don’t need. Now that I’m older I spend my money on services and experiences more than things.

I have to admit I have books in every nook and cranny of my condo and don’t plan on changing any time soon?

I have a ton of books, but I keep very few. I will probably read around 60 this year that will be donated back to the library or given away to family and friends. I keep some really nice hard covers, reference books and books that are autographed by the author.

I’m not to the minimalist yet, but I’m downsizing big time. I kept a lot of my favorite cookbooks. I’m well on my way of donating most all of the others.

Not intentionally, but I’m sure we have a lot less books than some people. I have the books I’ve had for years and keep because they’re either collectibles or I re-read from time to time, but I rarely buy new books. The library is a treasure cove.

Set them free! Let your books impact a new reader!

Not I! This girls wants her library. However I do want to be a minimalist in all things EXCEPT books.

I don’t buy books, with rare exceptions. I would love to have a library room but I don’t have the space or money. The library is my second home!

I try to mostly check books out from the library. When I buy I donate them to free little libraries or give them to friends. I only keep my absolute favorites. I’m torn between enjoying low clutter and wanting a huge library ?

Just keep a very few special for some reason books. Kindle , overdrive, and library books are a mainstay
