@Casey it is a historical fiction gender bend set in the 1400’s and the Ottoman Empire, Vlad the impaler, who in this story is a young girl named Lada and her brother Radu are sold to the Ottoman Empire by their father, the ruler of Transylvania and she grows up wanting to take back her kingdom after her fathers death. There is so much that goes on in this story but it is one that sticks with you once it’s over. I believe it’s supposed to be a trilogy series but the third book has yet to be announced.
I just finished “the Impossible Fortress.” It was an ok book. I would give it like 3.7 stars. It wasn’t a “you have to read this book!”but I wasn’t disappointed.
An Ember in the Ashes! An amazing fantasy audio book. The Help was fantastic and Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick was a great listen.
