Even though it’s not necessarily humour genre, the stories of James Herriot (If Only They Could Talk; It Shouldn’t Happen To A Vet; Let Sleeping Vets Lie; Vet In Harness; Vets Might Fly; Vet In A Spin (All Creatures Great and Small #1-5) can be quite funny. Some of the veterinary incidents described are worthy of some LOLs! 🙂

Stupid and Contagious by Caprice Crane. I read this in high school and remember it being stupid funny and a quick read. Chuck Klosterman is also pretty funny. He writes short essays on current events/pop culture but is pretty witty. Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs is one of my favorites by him, but Eating the Dinosaur and Fargo Rock City are also good.

Christopher Moore…especially Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff Christ’s Childhood Pal, Mark Kay Andrews if you are feeling more chick-lit, and I also agree with the recommendation of Carl Hiaasen.

Bridget Jones makes me lmao – the third one ‘Mad About the Boy’ is completely hysterical! Don’t read ‘Bridget Jones’ Baby’ – was done after the movie and not as good.

Shelly Laurenston is my go-to writer for hilarious romance (PNR). If you prefer memoirs, try “Let’s Pretend This Never Happened” by Jenny Lawson. Long live Beyonce the rooster.

Try the chronicles of st. Mary’s by Jodi Taylor. It’s an historical fiction time traveling adventure series, but the author adds lots of dry, sarcastic humor. Not a belly laugh, but def enjoyable.

These books are old…but I highly suggest you read books by an author named H. Allen Smith. Another book that was poorly written….but so funny I woke my kids up at 2:00 A.M. by laughing was “Never a let Them See You Eat Tuna Fish, ” by David Brenner.

Fanny Flagg’s books are very witty, not every page is lol, but I chuckle and smile through them. Marley and Me is hilarious (until the end). Ellen Degeneres’ Seriously, I’m Kidding was pretty funny. Also, I agree with the ones from above that I’ve read.
