Helter Skelter, The Manson Women and Me, and Member of the Family are all great Manson books. Lady Killers is about 13 (I think it’s 13) female serial killers. All are really good.

Helter Skelter is the scariest book I have ever read. Amazing book.

Agreed! Although anything relating to the Manson murders scares me. The fact that one man was able to brain wash the others into committing crimes for him, it’s terrifying!

Mindhunter by John E. Douglas or Green River, Running Red by Anne Rule

A Rip in Heaven is another. It’s heartbreaking though.

Small Sacrifices by Ann Rule. Also liked “The I-5 Killer”. Both local crimes in Oregon.

Anything by Ann Rule is excellent. She worked in law enforcement before turning to writing, and actually worked with Ted Bundy on a suicide hotline. He used to walk her to her car after their shift. ? An oldie but goodie true crime book is Fatal Vision by Joe McGinnis.
