1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Psalm 94:19
When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Proverbs 12:25
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.

And there are many more dealing with worry. Use Bible Gateway to search for topics.

@Karen Anxiety and panic and real medical problems you can’t pray away . People are looking for suggestions for books that specifically deal with anxiety .

Yes, I know that, but in my long life I have found that my reliance on God, prayer, and the Bible have been a tremendous help. You asked for a book and I replied. No need to get mad. I will pray for you.

@Karen please don’t pray for me .

Yes! I suffer from GAD, General Anxiety Disease. It’s an older book, but it explains all your symptoms that you feel. It’s called Hope and Help for Your Nerves by Dr. Claire Weekes. I carry it with me at all times, even on vacation. I don’t know what I would do without it.

I couldn’t read anything like that. It made my anxiety worse. I had to get up and do things, read a book or call someone to calm down

Jenny Lawson has some amazing books. She has severe anxiety and depression. I love how she talks about mental health, it really helped me look at my anxiety differently. I’ll post pics in the comments

@Amy Just wanted to let you know I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Anxiety/panic is a beast, that is for sure. I gave Julia in Julia’s Chocolates panic attacks. She thought she was dying. I had them in my mid-twenties and I gave up coffee altogether, started eating like a normal person (especially bananas, healthy foods, cut out sugar) walking, and honestly dealing with all the stuff in my life that was causing it. If I were you, I would read books that have as little stress in them as possible. Reading should be your one soft place to land. Try Jenny Colgan or Maeve Binchy. If you like romance, I’d reach for romance with Julia Quinn or Debbie Macomber. Everything always works out in the end. And if you’re feeling too anxious to sit down and read, LISTEN to the books. Sometimes just listening to someone tell you a story can be soothing, especially at night, which can help you to sleep.

A book called State of the ARTT. It was endorsed by the PTSD Foundation of America. Fear and anxiety can cause a chemical imbalance.

I have anxiety too. I tend to pinch myself so my therapist gave me a chunk of modeling clay to pinch and squeeze and mold. Very helpful! Mindfulness and meditation are helpful.
