I enjoy all different types. Not much into the sci fi.

In the romance genre, I love the books by Jennifer Crusie. Welcome to Temptation is a good one to start with. Or maybe Bet Me.
In the fantasy genre, I like the first several Xanth books by Piers Anthony. Start with A Spell For Chameleon. Also a fantasy, Magic Kingdom For Sale/Sold by Terry Brooks. And another fantasy, Poison Study by Maria V Snyder.
For paranormal fiction, try Sunshine by Robin McKinley.
For modern English fiction, try One Plus One by Jojo Moyes.
For memoirs, try Jenny Lawson.
For quirky fiction, try The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender.
For superhero fiction, try Wearing the Cape by Marion G Harmon.

If you like the paranormal and/or supernatural fiction, I have a lot more to recommend.

And for thriller/romance/murder mystery, try the In Death books by JD Robb.
