If you can, put on some music. Doesn’t have to be loud. Just high enough to blend into the background.

Turn off electronics, if you need a bit of background noise put on some quiet music, have a dedicated reading space that has nothing in arms reach so you can’t reach for things that distract you, also ignore anyone that is trying to get your attention.

I’m like @Jane – my issue is that I get too drawn in haha. My husband can tell if I’ve been reading as I’m usually in a bit of a fog afterwards, especially if it’s a fantasy series.

I switch off my phone and have also really cut back on my social media use because I found that was the biggest waste of time. I’ve only kept Facebook and I was ruthless with friends, groups and pages – deleted loads so that my newsfeed is much quieter and I don’t spend hours scrolling through loads of unnecessary rubbish! Listening to instrumental music with earbuds to drown out other noises.

Depends on the book. If it’s good enough, nothing will distract me.

The forest app. you set rhe timer to grow a virtual forest. And of you try to leave the app before rhe timers off it kills the tree. You can set music playing as a background app if you need music though
