I usually have 3 or more going at one time. One nonfiction and one nonfiction. And I always have a “mindless fluff” book going. This is typically a fiction that is easy to read (maybe YA). It may be a book I have read before. I read this when I am tired, stressed, or anxious. It is my comfort reading. I can pick it up and get caught up in an easy read. It takes me away and allows me to veg out.
Exactly. And I always read books that are different genres from each other and different subjects so I always have something I’m in the mood for. So like right now, I’m reading a comedy, a Stephen king, a Harry Potter, moby dick and a thriller.
I have about four going at the moment, not counting e-books. I like to finish books even if they are a drag to get through and switching helps that a fair bit
I only read more than one at a time if none of them had really grabbed my attention, if I’m reading something I am really in to then I have to read only that in every spare minute until it’s finished.
I hate my habit of read more than one book at a time but at times I can’t stop my self. I like this more organized but I guess I’m naturally messed up person ????
I read one paperback One eBook on my android One comic book on my android One short story on my android And one play anywhere I find.
I tend to read three or four, depending on what they are, if I am reading a lot of relatively short books it can go up to six, when I was younger it was common for me to read about that much and people don’t see how I can keep all the plotlines in my head so well….but I can’t do math in my head soo whatever lol
I usually read at least two, sometimes three. One a train book for my almost daily train trips, another for bedtime and another for when there’s nothing much good on tv.
I read several books at the same time. Once, though, I was reading about Lincoln and separately a science fiction book. As I was drifting to sleep I got confused thinking about Lincoln being on Mars.
Hmm….I stick to one book. It’s as if I’m in a relationship, and I want all my attention on the relationship. Only in college did I involve myself in multiple relationships….hah…..
I just finished one but already had 2 more going. Depends on my mood, What I started Saturday late evening was so interesting I didn;t put it down (much more still to read) until the daylight coming through my bedroom window let me know it’s not really LATE but really EARLY!
I am disabled and can no longer get into the willage library (was once on the board – as treasurer). It is handicapped accessible – but for me would mean a distance with my walker that would just be too much. I do some i go back and forth reading – but those are usually gardening or cook books – but don;t do much of either physically any more either. Getting old is for the pits! but it does give me more time to read! ABE is great.
I am disabled too, its hard for me to get out, but every so often I go to the library. I always get asked how can you read if you are nearly blind. I have been this way since birth and have read since I was really young.
I frequently read several books at one time. May be reading books for my adult classes or reading a mystery for pleasure or reading books on archaeology, etc. because I am passionate about archaeology.
I go for about 3 at a time. 1 ebook, 1 physical book, and 1 audiobook. I try to make at least 1 a library book to support my local libraries but doesn’t always happen
