I’ve read all of them and I couldn’t put them down. These are the books that got me into reading fantasy! I think they’re excellent!! Definitely don’t base the books off the tv show – they are way better.
Right on. Is there any particular order of them. Some are stand alone and some are trilogies etc.
If you google it, they’ll give you chronological order and then how it was written. I’d start with all trilogies first and then standalone. At least that’s how I did it.
I did read the first six in the series, but I got rid of them as I know I would never read them again.
They were….okay, imho.
What I think of as a ‘filler’ series, to keep you going while you wait for your favourite authors to release something new.
Amazing books. First one has a lord of the rings feel to it but Brookes gets better as he tells his story. The heritage of Shannara was my favourite.
Loved them. And they started doing them on telly.
I wouldn’t bother with the TV adaption of I’m honest. It’s completely different from the books, and not in a good way. Visually, the world is superb but the adaption itself is diabolical
@Martin . Only watched a few but it had been so long since I read the books i couldn’t compare it.
Read the original trilogy and really enjoyed them. Will be moving on too the next ones soon
I started the original trilogy. While for me it was a slow start its gotten good. Not sure if I like the druid character he’s sort of an ass.
