I like to read 3 books at a time too. It’s not too many to lose track, and it’s enough to switch between in case I want to read something else. I always make sure that the books are about different things though, so that they fit the mood I’m in!

Always more than one. I especially appreciate when I see parallels or revelations that are reflected simultaneously. Or, when one book relieves the intensity of the other book.

I just lay one down and pick up another like my aunt smoked 5 cigarettes at one time. I shock myself that I can keep the stories straight.

My Nook never knows which book to open when I pick it up. Lol

Title. What are you reading?

1
Cheryl

@Joy loved Hannah’s daughters. Not so much the luckiest girl, but that could have been the mood I was in!

1
Cheryl

@Joy I’m reading
1) Turtles all the way Down by John Green
2) Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan
3) the Stars are Fire by Anita Shreve

@Cheryl totally different styles, aren’t they?

1
Cheryl

@Joy I didn’t realize! But yes!?

@Cheryl the other one I’m reading (on my Kindle, so I have a hard time remembering the name) takes place in Ireland and is much different as well. All have been enjoyable.

Cheryl

@Joy nice! When you remember the title, let me know!?

I did that when this group started, then I got very confused and now I buy a few at a time and work my way though one before moving into the next.

As soon as I finish Atwood’s Maddaddam Trilogy, I’m going to read King’s “The Stand,” and then circle back to “World Without End” by Ken Follett.

I HAVE to read more that one at a time if I am ever going to get through the books I have on the shelves and check out of the library! 🙂 Just finished A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and will finish the last few pages of Angela’s Ashes today (both on my Kindle) and am reading print versions of Patterson’s 17th Suspect and Diane Mott Davidson’s Sweet Revenge.
