Whilst I agree it was overrated it was an OK read. However, this was one of the few occasion I thought the film was better than the book partly due to Emily Blunt’s performance even though her character was sanitised and the location changed for American audiences.
I really enjoyed it. I know some people didn’t like the protagonist Rachel, but I did. The only thing I would easy is that nearer to the end, you do guess who it is mainly from a process of elimination but other than that, I would thoroughly recommend it. It’s clearly set in the London suburbs so annoying the film has the Hollywood treatment. x
oh i read lots of everything.. i just found this book all over the place… i was disappointed because it was raved about.. i can still remember thinking wtf and pulling a weird face … but it could be just me 🙂 <3
I watched the film first which I don’t normally do.I enjoyed the book but knew what was going to happen because I had seen the film.The film was good enough to make me want to read the book.
Not up to the hype. But on the whole, I quite enjoyed it. Better than Gone Girl , whose two main protaganists I’d’ve happily shot and done time for , they were both so annoying.
Can’t say I warned to any of the characters in girl on a train but so much better than the main characters in Gone girl which I actually gave up on and rare for me to do so.

Its a great read. The book is better ! I wouldn’t bother with the movie.

I found gone girl was a hard read and gave up.I watched the film and found it to be a bit slow.
