Enjoyed it. Both very romantic and heartbreaking. Didn’t get bored or anything. Just the right amount of drama.

Be prepared to cry…. a lot! I second reading After You. I read the third book in the series Still Me, it was good but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the other two. I think the characters and setting were just too far removed from the original.

I thought the author tried to throw in a twist so she could have a surprise ending. I wasn’t surprised. I felt manipulated. And as someone who works with special needs kids, I didn’t appreciate the negative tone.

It was so good.

And the movie was fabulous too! I usually get reallllly annoyed by people who cry during movies, so I was having to hide my sobbing while I watched this movie with one of my girlfriends. ???

I enjoyed the series. He was understandably grim, but when she came into his life, he found joy. Hit all the right notes for me.

Enjoyable easy story. I call that kind of book “a beach read”. It reads quickly and is hard to put down but is light and “fluffy”. Lol

Oh really? I didn’t find it “fluffy” at all. I think it brings to light some really important questions. It’s interesting how everyone gets something different from books, though, isn’t it? 🙂

Loved it. But have a box of tissues nearby! The second book After You was not that great. But the third one, Still Me was again a great read.

I’ve never cried so hard then started laughing while still crying. I felt chronically dehydrated and delighted while reading this book. I refuse to read the sequel in case it ruins my love of the first book. I envy you experiencing it for the first time!!

Offensive in it’s implication that life is not worth living if you are severely disabled.

Read it with a book club and it made for a good discussion. I thought it was really good and presented a balanced view of a very difficult subject. Plus there are quirky, fun parts, too.

Since it was obvious from the beginning how it would end, it didn’t have the emotional impact on me others have mentioned. But I thought it was well written and it encouraged people, or at least me, to discuss or explore the subject of assisted suicide. The book itself didn’t make me an advocate, but it started me down a path of discovery. That’s about the best compliment I can give a book.
