Can’t say this one changed my life but I sure loved it and couldn’t read another book for about 6 weeks after I finished it – The Valley of Amazement by Amy Tan.

Not trying to be morbid, but this book really changed my life. It’s not my usual read at all but it grabbed me from the first page. https://www.amazon.co.uk/End-Mind-Dying-Wisdom-Denial-ebook/dp/B074DPNGWH/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1516053099&sr=8-1

“Jemima j” (but to be clear I was also about 19 at the time and it was just the right story for that moment in my life, it is “chick lit” all the way tho). One I’ve read more recently that stuck with me was “The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry” (& sequel “the love song of Queenie Hennessy”).

Very good book. I think this is the one where they talk about the Index of tragic incidents and the impact it has on children, and then how it impacts them later. Yeah, that had an impact on me. Made me a much more forgiving person. (Or at least I try to be!)

This will show my age, but The Wisdom of Menopause by Christiane Northrup, has really helped me accept what I’m going through.

From that book, I got, The Core Program, by Peggy Brill, 15 min a day exercise that easily helped me physically in better shape at 50 than I was at 40.
