The Lovely Bones. I read it before there was ever a movie, so I had no idea what I was stepping into. And every page was just tearing my heart out piece by piece.
Horns by Joe Hill. Not really cried but got a little choked up when the main character found a letter addressed to him from his girlfriend who was raped and murdered the year before.
Recently, I became quite pensive after reading ‘Travelling Cat Chronicles'( This is translated in English) and ‘Red finger’ ( I don’t think this one is yet translated).
I watched the movie too, but haven’t read the book. I was so overwhelmed with the flow of the story, so that I couldn’t cry. This happens when the story is too much intense for me to handle, and I cry after I feel more relaxed.
I remember myself crying over several but right now I can only think of Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, Heaven is for real and Born in shame by Nora Roberts
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, A Day No Pigs Would Die by Robert Peck, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, those are just a few…
