Ashes to ashes . . .
Evie Greene’s story of the Flash is just one of many. All over the world, those connected in some way to the lethal Arcana game—like Death, Jack, and Fortune—must first survive a horrifying night of blood and screams.

We all fall down.
Some will have to grapple with new powers; all will be damned to a hellish new existence of plague, brutality, desolation, and cannibalism. Find out who they lost, why they endure, and what they sacrificed in order to live past Day Zero. . . .

Secrets. Sacrifice. Survival. It begins at the end... and the end is here. You've seen the apocalypse through Evie's, experience the Flash from your favorite Arcana Chronicles characters' perspectives in DAY ZERO.

Mini-Review: This was kind of a combo of mini-stories and companion guide, which was pretty cool. Set up as a directory of the Arcana players, each chapter detailed strengths, weaknesses and other stats. Some Arcana also got a mini-story to go along with their stats, adding depth and breadth to the characters we’ve met in the first three Arcana novels. As a reader of the series, I got a bit more insight into why some of the characters react the way they do and why they choose the side they do (or betray that particular side). I wouldn’t suggest reading this novella before reading the other three stories, as you’ll pretty much have no idea who these characters are or why they’re important. Read the series. Read Day Zero.
